Know instantly if you've played each note correctly
StarPlay listens to your performance and provides real time feedback during and immediately after each note is played on your pitch, timing, tone, dynamics and duration, helping you improve with each practice.

It's not as technical as it sounds. As you play each note, meters display your pitch relative to the correct note, the volume you're playing at as well as the quality of the tone you're producing. Then, immediately after you play, each note on screen is colored. Bright green means that you've nailed it! Red indicates if you've missed the note or played the wrong note, yellow arrows show if you've played flat or sharp, early or late.

Watch your overall score change as you play. Turn music practice into a game by competing with your friends to see who can reach the highest score!

Take control!
Speed it up, slow it down! Play at a tempo that suits you. The audio and video will play at the same speed without affecting pitch. If you're learning a new piece, reduce the tempo. This prevents you from having to play catch-up to the music and developing flawed technique. Slowly increase the tempo as you gain confidence.

Play your own music
Do you want to play a piece of music that is not available in the library, or create your own arrangement to play along with one of StarPlay's backing tracks? Simply import the Sibelius files into StarPlay.
